ABOUT
Micha Warren is a German-born photographer and artist living and working in New York City. With a background in physical therapy, her practice is deeply rooted in an intimate understanding of the body — its fragility, resilience, and unspoken narratives.
Her work explores memory, desire, texture, and the human condition. She often finds beauty in places where others may look away, choosing instead to confront what is hidden, suppressed, or silenced.
Raised in Germany and influenced by Catholic traditions, family history, and myth, Micha weaves personal memory with universal themes of identity, longing, and transformation.
Her photographic series — including The Hunt, God Is Never Far Away, Project I/Chet, and Project II/Bed — create visual narratives that balance vulnerability with strength, exposing the raw edges of human experience.
Micha has studied with and been inspired by renowned photographers such as Antoine d’Agata, Mary Ellen Mark, and Todd Hido. Her work has been exhibited internationally and continues to evolve as a deeply personal yet universal exploration of form and meaning.
